New survivor camps were also added to the map as a tribute to Rambo. Players get new missions here and can collect dog tags. The new Verdansk 84′ map was also added to the game. This new map is mostly the same as the previous version except for some changes in the landmarks. This map is essentially set up in the timeline of the Cold War. Call of Duty: Warzone was released on March 10, 2020. The game has connections to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War (2020). Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale where 150 players compete against each other. Some time-limited games allow a total of 200 players to join the game. There are presently three maps to play over: Verdansk, Verdansk ’84, and Rebirth Island. The game was developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software and published by Activision. Warzone can be played over PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, X/S, and Microsoft Windows. The weapons and skins from Cold War were integrated to Warzone in December 2020. Warzone Gameplay
Warzone primarily has two main modes of game: Battle Royale and Plunder. The Battle Royale here follows the same principle as any such game. Players combat in a periodically shrinking map, and players outside the safe zone get killed due to poisonous gases. The players get a chance to respawn after their character death in two ways. They can either combat in Gulag against other defeated players or use in-game currency to purchase respawn tokens. The Plunder mode has an objective to find $1M Cash scattered around the map. The team with the highest amount wins. Both these modes allow only 150 players at a time. The time-limited modes like BR Buy Backs, Blood Money, Mini Royale, and Kingslayer allow 200 players. The players can use also use armor plates. Three armor plates can be used at a time, and more can be carried in the inventory.
